This is me, just a few hours ago, drying off at the Dead Sea. There is so much salt in the water that it started to crystallize right on my skin. Crazy. Dad put it a good way: swimming in the Dead Sea is like swimming in unset jello. It's a little thick, a little slimy, and really blue.

I won't have time to say much more until after the 'rents leave on Saturday. I have plenty of photos to share (Caesaria, Mesada, the Dead Sea and some pics from here in TA are in the works), so stay tuned until this weekend when I'll start actually talking about what I've been doing and not just lamely posting photos. Okay, now to make martinis for everyone and then out to dinner.

k -- oh man, we've had such a fun week. it's been so nice to be a total tourist for a change. we've been so busy until now. it's been just the right thing to take a break for a while and catch up on the sights we haven't done. we even just got back from your fam's fave chinese place, "red chinese" (which was superb, by the way). and plus, what better excuse to indulge than when it's on dad's tab? heehee... xoxox

Thanks for sharing the picture of your Dad and Ben. Hope you are all having a grand time...I'll be calling your Mom when she gets home to get all the details. Tell your Mom and Dad to keep on enjoying themselves and travel safe on their way home. We miss you all - all of you. We have enjoyed keeping tabs through your blog...love the pictures. Nice to see your letting your mom and dad indulge you.
Love, Aunt Jan and Uncle Glenn
PS we have 3 feet of snow and more on the way. Enjoy the warmth and sun!
